This project has saved me. I am so thankĀful I have someĀthing like this to do when I need a break. I can still valĀiĀdate it by callĀing it homeĀwork. It helps my menĀtal state so much. HavĀing to give up everyĀthing I usuĀalĀly do in my spare time, like bakĀing, readĀing, art, and explorĀing, made my life feel realĀly unbalĀanced. This was my litĀtle winĀdow of reprieve.

Now the big reveal. These are what I’ve learned. I’m a big believĀer in just going for it and learnĀing by doing. PeoĀple try to say art is hard, but I’m not realĀly sure if that’s true. It’s work and pracĀtice. You won’t always like what you have made, but you are always learnĀing. The things most worth doing are a chalĀlenge and that’s what makes them engaging.

Here are the ones I’m still workĀing on.

In progress

Here is what I’ve comĀpletĀed so far that not yet in a frame.

FinĀished

While I do have frames, I might have to talĀly who will fit in what. I’m not yet sure if they are all wall worĀthy keepĀers. I might have gone a bit overĀboard, but I’m still makĀing more. I was origĀiĀnalĀly picĀturĀing all black frames, but then I thought a mixĀture of golds and browns and whatĀevĀer best suits the bug. Now I’m back to all black. I will have a wall full of these. I plan to make a landĀscape and porĀtrait jigĀsaw puzĀzle.  I can’t wait to see how they all turn out. I just have to keep workĀing. I might try and include them in my next semesĀter too and try not to feel too guilty about them not being homeĀwork anymore.
