This project has saved me. I am so thankÂful I have someÂthing like this to do when I need a break. I can still valÂiÂdate it by callÂing it homeÂwork. It helps my menÂtal state so much. HavÂing to give up everyÂthing I usuÂalÂly do in my spare time, like bakÂing, readÂing, art, and explorÂing, made my life feel realÂly unbalÂanced. This was my litÂtle winÂdow of reprieve.
Now the big reveal. These are what I’ve learned. I’m a big believÂer in just going for it and learnÂing by doing. PeoÂple try to say art is hard, but I’m not realÂly sure if that’s true. It’s work and pracÂtice. You won’t always like what you have made, but you are always learnÂing. The things most worth doing are a chalÂlenge and that’s what makes them engaging.
Here are the ones I’m still workÂing on.
Here is what I’ve comÂpletÂed so far that not yet in a frame.
While I do have frames, I might have to talÂly who will fit in what. I’m not yet sure if they are all wall worÂthy keepÂers. I might have gone a bit overÂboard, but I’m still makÂing more. I was origÂiÂnalÂly picÂturÂing all black frames, but then I thought a mixÂture of golds and browns and whatÂevÂer best suits the bug. Now I’m back to all black. I will have a wall full of these. I plan to make a landÂscape and porÂtrait jigÂsaw puzÂzle. I can’t wait to see how they all turn out. I just have to keep workÂing. I might try and include them in my next semesÂter too and try not to feel too guilty about them not being homeÂwork anymore.
